Q1. How can I become a KWSQA member?
A1. Becoming a KWSQA member is easy. We offer a couple of ways to become a member:
- First and last name of each individual assigned to each membership
- Membership type of each individual member (Seasonal, Seasonal Student, Single, Single Student)
- Company of each individual member (optional)
- School of each individual member (required only for each student membership)
- Email address of each individual member for KWSQA updates (optional)
- Whether a receipt is required. If a receipt is required, please provide who the receipt should be made out to.
Q2. How does a KWSQA season operate?
A2. Membership and meetings run from September of each year into June. The
following are a list of key member meeting events:
Q3. How much does a KWSQA membership cost?
A3. Our Fee Schedule is as follows:
Cash or cheque is accepted at the door. Credit cards are accepted via PayPal at the KWSQA web site. Receipts are issued for corporate re-imbursement. Click here to pay online now.
* Seasonal memberships will be $80 or will be equal to the cost of purchasing single attendances for each of the remaining meetings in the season, whichever is less.
** For students of an accredited college or university
Q4. How can I get on the meeting
notification list?
A4. Please visit our Updates
section on the main KWSQA page to register for member meeting email
notifications.
Q5. What does a membership get me?
A5. A seasonal membership gets you access to all of our meetings for the season (September
to June). That's 8 member meetings in a season. Member meetings consist of a
speaker, a panel, or a discussion, and lunch is provided. Meeting attendees can
obtain free copies of the TQM when distributed. Seasonal members are eligible
for discounted rates for conferences and other offerings of KWSQA.
Q6. Are memberships transferrable?
A6. Memberships are assigned to individuals. Memberships are non-transferrable.
Q7. What is the KWSQA meeting
format?
A7. Doors open at
Q8. Why isn't all presentation
material from the meetings available on the KWSQA website?
A8. The KWSQA can only post presentation material that meeting speakers have
authorized and provided. As the presentation material is made available to the
KWSQA, they make the material available to members on the website.
Q9. Does KWSQA post jobs on the
KWSQA website?
A9. KWSQA does not post job notices on their website, nor does it announce job
openings during member meetings. Many companies purchase memberships at KWSQA
for their employees. It is a conflict to encourage local companies to sponsor
membership, then open an avenue for members to change companies. For this
reason, KWSQA removed the job board in early in 2004.
Q10. What if I need to mail
something to the KWSQA?
A10. Please visit our Contact Us
page for mailing address and contact details.
Q11. I'm interested in being a
speaker. What are the KWSQA guidelines?
A11. KWSQA works with its speakers to ensure your presentation is well received
by our members. We only have a couple guidelines to ensure a successful presentation.
For information on our guidelines, please use the Contact Us
page to get in touch with us for more information.
