Q. How does a KWSQA season operate?

June. The
following are a list of key member meeting events:
- SEPTEMBER

MAY

Q. How can I become a KWSQA member?
A. Becoming a KWSQA member is easy; simply come to one of our
member meetings
and the KWSQA Member Relations Officer or Treasurer will be able
to sign you up.
Even if you're not a member you can come to a KWSQA meeting by
paying the one
time attendance fee.
Q. How much does a KWSQA membership
cost?
A. Our Fee Schedule is as follows ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP $80
(prorated to $20
minimum) ANNUAL STUDENT MEMBERSHIP $30 (with a valid Student ID)
ONE TIME
ATTENDANCE $20 Cash or cheque is accepted at the door. Receipts
are issued for
corporate re-imbursement
Q. When can I become a member?
A. You can become a KWSQA member at the beginnings of member
meetings. Please
see our member meeting page to obtain information on when our
next member
meeting is.
Q. How can I get on the meeting
notification list?
A. Enter your email into the section on the main page for member
meeting email
notifications.
Q. What does membership get me?
A. A membership gets you access to all of our meetings for the
season. That's 8
member luncheons in a year. Member meetings consist of a speaker
or panel and
lunch is provided. Meeting attendees can obtain free copies of
the TQM when
distributed.
Q. Are memberships transferrable?
A. Memberships are non-transferrable.
Q. What are acceptible forms of
payment for
memberships?
A. Membership or meeting attendance fees can be paid by cash or
cheque at any meeting or online using PayPal and your credit card.

Q. What is the KWSQA meeting format?
A. Doors open at 11:30 on the day of the meeting. At this time
new members can
be registered, one time attendance payment then member
networking and lunch. At
11:50 the president will open the meeting with any
announcements. The speaker or
panel will take place until 12:50. Time permitting there will be
a Q&A session.
At 1:00pm the official meeting ends and members can continue
networking if
desired.
Q. Why isn't all presentation material
from the
meetings available on the KWSQA website?
A. The KWSQA can only post presentation material that meeting
speakers have
authorized and provided. As the presentation material is made
available to the
KWSQA, they make the material available to members on the
website.
Q. Does KWSQA post jobs on the
KWSQA website?
A. KWSQA does not post job notices on their website, nor does it
announce job
openings during member meetings. Many companies purchase
memberships at KWSQA
for their employees. It is a conflict to encourage local
companies to sponsor
membership, then open an avenue for members to change companies.
For this
reason, KWSQA removed the job board in early in 2004.
Q. What if I need to mail something
to the KWSQA?
A. Please visit our Contact Us page for
mailing address and contact details.
Q. Want to be a speaker? What are
the KWSQA
guidelines?
A. KWSQA works with its speakers to ensure your presentation is
well received by
our members. We only have a couple guidelines to ensure a
successful
presentation. For information on our guidelines, please use the Contact us page to get in touch with us for more information.
