Exec Bio Selena has been in software quality for more than six years, and is currently an SQA Manager at IMS in Waterloo. Selena enjoys working with a variety of testing methodologies, as well as creating and integrating new methods and processes into existing ones. She is CSTP certified through IIST, and is an active member of Jerry Weinberg's PSL and AYE communities. After stepping down as TQM Newsletter Editor, Selena looks forward in continuing on the KWSQA executive this season as President Exec Position Duties
Contact pres[at]kwsqa.org Exec Bio Rob is employed as a Software Test Lead at Research in Motion. Over the past few years he has been honing his skills in Exploratory Testing and Rapid Software Testing. Rob has been in software quality for over eight years and has been an active member of the KWSQA for most of that time. As well as taking on the role of VP this year, Rob is helping to lead the KWSQA conference committee (with plans to bring a software testing conference to Waterloo Region in the spring of 2008). Contact vp[at]kwsqa.org Exec Bio Since 1999 Lisa has enjoyed a variety of positions at local software companies such as QA Specialist, QA Lead, Project Manager, and more recently Account Program Manager at Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS) Inc in Waterloo . She's been a member of the KWSQA since 2001 and has been part of the KWSQA Executive since 2002 as full time Treasurer. Exec Position Duties
Contact treasurer[at]kwsqa.org Exec Bio Wes is an Embedded Systems Software Tester in the Operating Systems group at Research In Motion. This is the second year in which he will be serving as secretary for the KWSQA executive. Wes holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario. Exec Position Duties
Contact secretary[at]kwsqa.org Exec Bio Jared is a Software Test Specialist at Research in Motion. He is exited to be joining the KWSQA executive for the upcoming season where he will be serving as External Public Relations Officer and Software Association Liaison. Jared has been involved in the IT and Software industries for over 10 years and is currently exploring interests in Agile, Context-Driven and Persona-based testing. Exec Position Duties
Contact pr[at]kwsqa.org Exec Bio Josh holds diplomas as an Electronics Technologist and Technician, and has been testing embedded and PC software for the past 8 years. Josh spent 5 years testing home/business security, card access, and communications systems and their supporting PC applications for Digital Security Controls (DSC) in Toronto, before joining RIM in Waterloo to test the BlackBerry. Josh holds ASQ's CSQE designation. Experienced with both 'exploratory' and scripted testing environments, one of Josh's current challenges is trying to establish a happy medium where both methods can be used to their fullest benefit while complimenting each other. He has varied experience as Test Automation Engineer/ QA Lead / Providing Training etc within the financial industry , most recent being TD Bank in London,ON. She has had the privilege of being invited to and presented at the Toronto Workshop for Software Testing III. He holds Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma (2003), a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical and Computers Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (2000), and currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo. Prior to his current role, he worked in the IT industry as Software Engineer and Team Lead. Exec Position Duties
